Tickets available for “Orphans”, a drama by Lyle Kessler

Two brothers, Phillip, sensitive, reclusive, never venturing out of his North Philly home and Treat, a violent pickpocket and thief who kidnaps a mysteriously wealthy businessman who turn the table on the two brothers and in strange, hilarious and moving way, becomes their long-lost father figure.

This drama is directed by Tom Doty with assistant director Greg Berezuk.

Starring Tannen Paul, Matt Line and Judah Ickes.

Tickets Are Available Now for “God’s Favorite”

This is Opening Night for Neil Simon’s “God’s Favorite”. Get tickets HERE.

Last night, September 7th, we experienced an outage of the credit card processing function from our provider. This was re-established late last night, and ticket sales are now working. Payment Processing Temporarily Down on Sept 7

The payment processing application we use to sell tickets has experienced a temporary outage so your ticket purchase may not be completed. As soon as they remedy the problem ticket sales will resume. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for  “God’s Favorite”, which opens Friday, September 8th, though if this is not remedied by then, cash is advised at the door.

Auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Sept 18 & 19 @ 7PM

Open auditions for this Shakespeare Comedy will take place at 7 PM September 18 & 19, 2023 at the Potomac Playmakers Performing Arts Center at 17303 W.  Washington Street, Hagerstown MD.

All ages accepted. If under 18 a parent must provide permission.

Be prepared to do cold readings of scenes from the show.

Virtual auditions will be accepted in video format emailed to caitlincutright00@gmal.com. If auditioning virtually please prepare a comedic Shakespearean monologue.

Performances will be January 13 & 14, 2024.

 

Rocky Horror Picture Show with LIVE Shadow Cast 10/27 & 28 @ Midnight

This movie presentation is produced in conjunction with #rockyhorrorppp, and performed with a LIVE shadow cast at the Potomac Playmakers Performing Arts Center at 17303 W. Washington St in Hagerstown.

Dress as your favorite character and join the shadow cast for games before the show. Doors open at 11:30pm both nights. $3 prop bags and concessions are available for CASH only. Tickets are $18 and available HERE or at the door.

'Buy a Seat' Plaque Campaign

With the Potomac Playmakers "Buy a Seat"  campaign, you can name a perpetual seat in the Lee Stine Auditorium for only $125. A commemorative 1.5" x 3" brass plate will be placed on the back of one of the seats in the theatre. We cannot ensure the specific placement of each plaque location, but early donors will be placed in the frontmost rows. You are not purchasing the seat for your use during the season, and naming rights do not guarantee that you can sit in that seat when you come to a Playmakers' production. In addition to the permanent plaque you receive a 1-year membership in the Potomac Playmakers, which enables you to vote at the Annual Meeting in our election to the Board.
