‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ – Jan 13 @ 3pm & 8pm and Jan 14 @ 3pm
Tickets are $18 for all performances, and groups of 10 or more are discounted to $15.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows the misadventures of four young lovers, a group of aspiring actors, and a team of mischievous fairies as they all enter the woods outside Athens, America in the 1970s, on a summer night. The ensuing hilarity and chaos create an evening filled with love and laughter. This is a family friendly event. Wear your 70’s vintage to flaunt your vibe.
Four Athenians run away to the forest only to have Puck the fairy make both of the boys fall in love with the same girl. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master play a trick on the fairy queen. In the end, Puck reverses the magic, and the two couples reconcile and marry.
In A Midsummer Night’s Dream the play-within-the-play mirrors the play as a whole, both symbolic and literally. The play deals with the irrationality of love and its madness. It also addresses the fine line between imagination and reality. This relates to meaning as it addresses the idea about human destiny.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
