All My Sons - Friday, November 10, 2017
All My Sons, by Arthur Miller, centers around the Keller Family. The patriarch of the family, Joe Keller, made a lot of money during WWII by selling airplane engines to the military. After 21 pilots died due to their planes crashing, an investigation found Joe's factory had shipped airplane engines with cracked cylinders. While Joe was exonerated of all crimes, his business partner, Steve Deever, was found guilty of knowingly selling faulty engines and he was sentenced to prison. Larry, Joe's youngest son, has been MIA for three years. Most of the family assumes that he, too, died when his plane went down due to a faulty engine. However, Kate, the matriarch of the family, continues to hold out hope.
